Am I in violation?

High Grass/Weeds

Most complaints received by the department are concerning high weeds.  Grass and weeds need to be kept below 12 inches at all times.  Weeds over two feet are considered an imminent health and fire hazard and the City can abate the weeds without notifying the owner of the violation.  Usually the city gives a warning of 10 days to correct the violations.  Citizens are responsible for their front yards, backyards, alley and any easements next to their property.
