The Dumas Police Department employs 26 sworn officers to serve a population of approximately 14, 500 citizens. We are a full service police organization made up of four divisions and five patrol districts. We partner with our community in crime prevention activities to prevent problems or solve them before they negatively impact a person's quality of life. We are constantly striving to provide the most efficient police services possible.

Officers of the Dumas Police Department come from a variety of different backgrounds, but they all have a have a single, common goal of commitment to excellence.  Officers are encouraged to seek training that complements their duty position as well as enhancing the overall standards of excellence for the department.  Officers have access to the latest technology to better serve the citizens of Dumas.
