Welcome to the Dumas Police Department Information Page.  I believe that employment in the Law Enforcement Area in this day is rewarding as well as challenging.

The Dumas Police Department is currently working to build a professional police department by providing the best possible community protection.  Our goal is to maintain positive relationships with the citizens of Dumas to improve crime control and its prevention.

Currently the police department patrol division is made up of four patrol teams that work twelve hour shifts.  The department also hosts it's own Criminal Investigation Division, and a full time ID Unit.

The Dumas Police Department is always looking for quality applicants who will fit in to our team concepts.  I encourage anyone who would like to be a member of a team oriented business to become actively involved in  becoming a member of a law enforcement agency.  The results are rewarding.

I am proud of the employees of the Dumas Police Department, both sworn and civilian.  I am honored to be a part of the professional team.  "Commitment to Excellence" is our goal and we work hard to meet that goal.
